The AYSES Gold 97B team, coached by Ross Foster, wrapped up the Spring season by participating in the Texas Lightning Youth Cup tournament in Arlington on April 10th and 11th.  It was a weekend of great soccer and camaraderie for the team. 

We were fortunate to have 4 guest players with us that weekend, and we greatly appreciate their contribution.  Thanks to Danny, Diego, Evan and Michael!! 

We played a very hard fought game Saturday afternoon against the North Texas Strikers, a Classic League D2 team, and were defeated 3-0 but still earned a spot in the championship game, against none other than the North Texas Strikers!! 

The boys went into this game with their heads held high and fought a good fight.  We held them 0-0 until the last few minutes of the game, where they were able to score a goal.  The game ended 1-0 for the Strikers. 

The 97 Gold team plays in the Plano Premiere League and finished in 6th place this season.  We are looking forward to next season and will be working to finish in the top 2 so we can make our way back into the Classic League!!
