In league play for the 2007-2008 season, AYSES 95 Black finished 9-7-2, just two points shy of promotion and good enough for third in Classic League Division III. The team’s two losses were the fewest of any team in D-III. Its defense was the best in the division, allowing only 17 goals (an average of less than one goal per game). In addition, the team competed in five tournaments. Although they were able to advance only in the Plano Labor Day Invitational, where they lost a close game 0-1 in the quarterfinals, AYSES 95 Black always provided stiff competition for their opponents. Amazingly, despite playing in a very competitive division and facing several D-I teams in tournaments, AYSES 95 Black lost by more than two goals only three times in all 34 games it played.
