The AYSES fielded seven teams in this year’s State Cup Tournament held at the Richland College and Pizza Hut Park soccer complexes in North Texas.  All of the teams played well, with three of the teams advancing to semi-finals which will be held May 12th.

Defending 2006 State Cup Champions AYSES 91 Gold and AYSES 92 Gold earned spots in the 2007 State Cup semifinals, while the AYSES 93 Gold team advanced for the first time to the State Cup semifinals.

The semi-finals schedule is as follows:

AYSES 91 Gold coached by Sammy Olali will play FC Dallas 91 on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. at Richland College on Field # 3. 

AYSES 92 Gold coached by Danny Dapaah will play Dallas Texans Red 92 on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Richland College on Field # 5. 

AYSES 93 Gold coached by Vinnie Davis will play Solar Red 93 on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Richland College on Field # 3. 

The North Texas State Cup Champions will advance to the Region III Regional, one of four regional competitions in the USA.  The winners of each of the four Regionals will advance to Nationals to determine the National Champion.

Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents for the success so far in the North Texas 2007 State Cup.  Come out to the soccer complexes May 12-13 to cheer on the AYSES as they play for a berth in Regionals.
